Music

The Madhatters

The Madhatters have been playing to live audiences for over 15 years. From corporate functions, weddings and bar shows, this band has seen and done it all.

Avenue Inn

Avenue Inn has carved a unique space in the Canadian music scene since their formation in 2012, playing countless shows around southern Ontario and sharing the stage with acclaimed artists such as Coleman Hell and Young Empires. Influenced by the amplified and impassioned presence of bands such as the Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, and the Arkells, the Niagara Falls natives have been carefully crafting their own approach to alternative rock with their new album set to be released in 2018.

J.I.N.

J.I.N is a trio based in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Nicole Cerminara (lead guitar/vocals) and her brother Joseph (drums) have been playing together since they were 6 and 8 years old. Upon meeting Ivan Aulbrook (bass) in high school, they began to play for fun in music class and for school events. They eventually decide to become a band, and began writing original material. Currently their ages range from 18-20, and they plan on trying to reach as many people as possible with their music. Their genre is a mix of blues, rock, and funk.

Spencer MacKenzie

We are super excited to have Spencer MacKenzie joining us on June 3rd!

Spencer has won numerous competitions and is an incredible young talent! Spencer and is band will be sure to leave you speechless!

18 year old ‘New Artist of the Year’ Maple Blues Award winner, Spencer MacKenzie, has an insightful musical expression emerging from his body, and the only explanation is an old soul residing within! He has a deep, soulful, true to the blues sound, with an electrifying twist that captivates his audience. There is no question that musicians should be judged by ability and not by age, and that is certainly the case with 18 year-old blues artist Spencer MacKenzie…his guitar playing is crisp and clean even as it delivers some down-to-the bone licks…He’s got the blues power in his soul.

Cory Cruise

9 time Niagara Music Award Winner Cory Cruise joins us this year! Be sure to catch him on the Saturday of our festival!

Cory Cruise’s unique style is best described as “acoustically delicious." At the 2016 Niagara Music Awards, Cory received 8 nominations & 4 awards including Male Vocalist, Country Artist, & Adult Contemporary artist of the year & also his 3rd People's Choice Award. His passion for music is evident in the way he expresses each song. He uses his guitar as an extension of himself to captivate his audience with every performance.

Sarah Boulton

Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sarah Boulton hails from the Niagara Region, and over the years has become a very busy performing artist. Picking up the guitar from her father and teaching herself to play piano, she booked her first gig at the age of 13. Through showcasing her original music, she has worked in LA, California; Nashville, TN; opened for Canadian rising-star, Shawnee; and had the opening slot at Holders Season’s Gala Night in Barbados where she shared the stage with BRIT Award winning vocal trio, BLAKE. In 2015, the Niagara Music Awards recognized her with nominations in categories such as: Songwriter, Folk Artist and Adult Contemporary Artist of the Year, as well as for Album of the Year.

James Blonde

The Niagara Falls based alt-rock outfit we’ve come to know as James Blonde has spent the last few years touring the country under their old moniker and have made major festival appearances at Osheaga, Edgefest, CMW and Burlington Sound of Music. Opening for the likes of Weezer, Sam Roberts Band, Serena Ryder, The Arkells, Keith Urban and Lights. The band's debut (self titled) LP is slated to release August 21st, 2017 with a Canada-wide tour planned for this Fall.

Revive the Rose

A gutsy, every-man band from Niagara. They’re the kind of band that turn heads when they play live. Revive the Rose provides the party and the most powerful shredding rock and roll in town! Telling real stories from an everyday point of view of hit and miss. A collection of honest and straight forward songs touching on themes of life, love, learning, and moving forward. Revive the Rose has conquered Southern Ontario, and always ready to prove that rock and roll will never die.

Marty Allen Band

Honky-tonk and Rockabilly music is as much about life as it is about music.

Southern Ontario artist Marty Allen, named after the late Marty Robbins, was born into a blue-collared middle class family and weaned on Sun Record artists Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. “It was a simple sound, yet energetic and commanding” states Allen who received his first guitar at the age of eight. Although not musicians themselves, his parents possessed a real love for music. “There was always music playing in the house and Sunday mornings we would hear the gospel music crackling from the hi-fi”
